Having a Very Philebrity Christmas

Oh today. At work in theory but not in practice. Had a great lunchtime shopping excursion with Christian, came back to the cube for my last hour of work (get out at 3) to discover two of my friends on Philebrity today.

The first is my darlin' Mr. Robert Drake, chattin' it up about Xmas music with WPRB's Jon Solomon. What an adorable conversation. I love radio people, they warm my little Grinch heart. Hope to catch some of Robert's Xmas eve show when I'm going home to the parents.

The second is my houseguest Mr. Adam Arcuragi. Yesterday he told me he made a Christmas card, but I had no idea what I was in for. He's going a little Brian Wilson on us in this one, but I'll be damned if the new song of his he plays isn't fantastic. Mostly hilarious and just a touch creepy, just like Christmas should be in the Illadelph. Here's the link to the Philebrity jawn, but I'll also just embed the Youtube video here just for the fun of it. Merry Christmas Philadelphia.

And with this Birthday Season draws to a close...

So many crazy pictures on the Flickr from my birthday party last night. A few highlights:

Not many girls get to celebrate their birthday with a rock band in their bed. Then again, I'm not most girls. Ha! Adam Arcuragi and crew play in my bedroom, I sit on the bed like Marcia Brady.

Who's that drunk broad yelling about Pittsburgh in the kitchen? Justin managed to avoid the camera's eye by hiding in the smoker's lounge all night.

I love this picture, it looks like some early Renaissance painting. Everyone should have halos.

Man I'm exhausted. Lots of work to do. That's all for now.

And Everybody Knows...

You know, sometimes, no lie, the Internet vastly increases my quality of life. Today is one of those days, as I realized that, while I've been hoping to eventually see the Leonard Cohen documentary again, I got the absolute best part of it -- Rufus Wainwright's story about Leonard Cohen and his big gay cover of "Everybody Knows" -- all in one clip on Youtube! Hallelujah!

Thank you Internet, cause of and solution to all of life's problems.

Also thanks everyone for your birthday wishes. I'm pretty sure it was the best birthday I ever had. I'm sure I'll be blogging more once this tedious semester is over.
